Serves 4
2 cups water
1 cup light brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
1 cup dark rum
1 tablespoon lime juice
Sugar
Lime slices for garnish
In top of double boiler add water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Fill halfway with water and set over medium-high heat. Stir mixture until sugar dissolves, then continue heating 10 minutes, making sure that mixture does not boil, and lowering heat if necessary.
